Between trips to Milan, Athens, Paris and multiple weekends spent grafting and planting in my garden, the last few month’s have evaporated, but between all that there’s been lots to recommend.
Wearing On Repeat
I’ve barely taken off my Asics X APC sweatshirt since I got it. It’s second only to my ultimate favourite sweat from American Vintage which is so soft and unlike so many, it actually gets better with washing and wear. I always like a glimpse of a white t-shirt underneath at the neckline. This and my yellow Adidas Japan trainers with Nili Loton shon trousers (I size down in these for the best fit) or Citizens of Humanity Ayla jeans is my current zero-thinking-required weekend uniform.
I also snagged the best ‘dupe’ for the sold-out (and Harry Styles’ fave) The Row Jolene jacket. I’m not a big one for dupes personally but this is different enough to not be a copy but close enough in colour and fit to get the same effect (plus it’s under £100). Run don’t walk because I feel like this is going to fly like their field jackets did. I went for a small and the fit is perfect.
Here’s me wearing it in Paris this weekend too. I’m going to do a proper little round up of this trip soon but linking the outfits details for the below here first. I’ve been wearing this little Doen skirt over loose jeans with a t-shirt and oversized cashmere jumper for the last month too, before it was warm enough to go bare legged. It’s so versatile and feels vintage like an heirloom piece - I have the shorts too. As alwas, I like playing opposites and wearing it with a tomboyish top half.

Using
I had a Nora Ephron moment recently and after lots of research and reading through rave reviews, my neck and I decided to buy a Lyma laser. The price is definitely up there but I reasoned it’s actually cheaper than a course of laser or fancy facials. Unlike so many things I buy into, I’ve actually been religious about using this so far. I like that unlike red light masks, you can use on long car journeys (as a passenger obvs), in front of the TV without feeling like you’re frying your retinas or on a plane (it’s allowed in hand luggage). It needs daily use for the first 12 weeks (I’ve done 5 so far) and then a few times a week for maintenance. So far, so good and I’m already getting compliments on my skin asking what I’m doing differently which is always a good sign something’s working. An unexpected bonus is I haven’t been on my phone nearly as much in the evenings because I’ve been busying Lyma-ing.
If peak millenial life is getting off on a bougie surface spra, I’m there. But this Flamingo Estate vine tomato surface spray is one of the best things to arrive in the mail recently. It smells great and looks nice on my island.
Eating
As a true philehelene, I’m almost embarrassed it’s taken me this long to get to Oma in borough market; it’s been touted as the best modern Greek food in London. We nipped out for a Friday lunch a couple of week’s ago for a daytime date and I proceeded to have a Meg Ryan moment over every mouthful. From fresh crudo to flame grilled things dripping in chilli butter, not one plate missed the mark. Don’t skip the the folded chocolate pastry concoction for pudding either.
I’m truly in my cottage cheese era and my latest fixation is these high-protein pancakes.
